Traveling Knit Afghan Square 5

Updated: Sep 20, 2023

Is it really already May 2021?! We welcome Square 5 to our rapidly growing Traveling Knit Afghan work in progress - Square 5 is designed by Uma Padmanabhan.

The free version of Yuj (Square 5) pattern will live here as Uma does not have a website. However, the downloadable ad-free version of the pattern can be found here.

Yarn: Feels Like Butta Lion Brand Yarn, 218 yards/199m; 100g; 100% polyester. MC: Dusty Blue #108 - 1 skein; CC Lemon, #158

1 skein.

Needles: US 7/4.5mm or whatever needed to obtain gauge of 19 sts & 20 rows = 4”/10cm in Moss stitch.

Pattern Notes: There are totally 5 stripes in the square, 3 in Dusty Blue and two in Lemon. Each stripe measures 4” (10cm), 2” (5cm) in each pattern stitch, starting with Moss stitch. Slip the first stitch of every row to create a neat edge.
